The Integrated Water Resources Management in Kosovo (IWRM-K) Program is a 12-year joint initiative of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and the Government of Kosovo, aimed at strengthening water governance and promoting the sustainable management of the country’s water resources.

Promoting sustainable approaches that use natural processes to reduce climate-related risks and strengthen water systems.

Advance the development and refinement of modern water legislation that supports integrated water resources management across national and local levels.

Strengthening the capacities of ministries and partner agencies through tailored training programmes, as well as supporting university programmes in water sciences and practical workplace learning for young professionals.

Evidence-Based Decision Making

Upgrade the national Water Information System to improve monitoring, data quality, transparency, and evidence-based decision-making.
